
His Royal Highness, the Earl of Wessex KG GCVO will visit Loughborough College next Week (Monday 22 June 2015) to formally open the design-award nominated Arts Academy building.
Accompanied by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire Jennifer, Lady Gretton, JP and Loughborough College Principal and Chief Executive Esme Winch, His Royal Highness will be greeted by Leicestershire dignitaries.
Prince Edward, The Earl of Wessex will tour the new Arts Academy theatre, recording, photography and dance studios and will meet College staff and students as he enjoys a range of performance and creative work.
Loughborough College Principal and Chief Executive Esme Winch said: “We are delighted to be welcoming The Earl of Wessex to our new Arts Academy.
“We are looking forward to showing His Royal Highness the exciting work being produced here along with just some of the cutting edge facilities on offer to our students and to the community.”
The new building, which has been shortlisted for a RICS Design Through Innovation award, establishes the Loughborough College Arts Academy as a leading centre of excellence for the next generation of performers and artists.
