Loughborough College students this week helped boost funds and raise awareness for a charity offering vital support to young people across the country with alcoholic parents.
Katie Smith, Hollie Fyfe, Lucy Canning and Molly Wilford created a competition and raffle, provided information and spoke to staff and students about the work of the National Association for Children of Alcoholics.
The charity is run entirely by voluntary donations and the four Loughborough College Childcare students raised £69.00.
“This charity is not well known and receives no government funding to help them support the children of alcoholics.
“Knowing the only way they can keep up their work is through donations, our students were keen to do whatever they could to raise money and let more people know about this fantastic cause,” said Lydia Hovenden, Student Engagement Mentor at Loughborough College.
